The dates are set for the 2010 Wind Turbine Race at Stauning Airfield. Racing dates are September 23-26 and DTU will again be there with two competitive winDTUrbineracers. So far 8 teams have signed up and we are all looking forward to the best race ever. The event is again this year supported by Ringkřbing-Skjern Kommune and Vestas Wind Systems A/S and DTU takes part in organizing the event.

The 2010 DTU team are rebuilding the 2008 racer completely to have even better transmission, steering and aerodynamics. In total 15 students are now working on the new design. The goal is clear: to build a safe, manoeuvrable wind turbine racer capable of setting new records. The aim is high this year and hopefully the winds permit racing speeds towards and above the 100% car to wind speed ratio. Our best engineering efforts are being put forward to obtain this goal. we hope this year to go even faster.
